MeeGo is an open source, Linux project which brings together the Moblin
project, headed up by Intel, and Maemo, by Nokia, into single open
source activity. MeeGo integrates the experience and skills of two
significan
development ecosystems, versed in communications and
computing technologies.

Maemo is an open source community developing
software around of the same
name platform. To date, there are over 22.000
registered members that
contribute to more than 900 community
development projects in the Maemo
Garage. Maemo platform has been developed by Nokia in collaboration with
many known open source projects such as Linux kernel, Debian, GNOME, and many more.
