Eucalyptus Cloud Systems & Ubuntu Enterprise Cloud #

Eucalyptus is an open source system for implementing on-premise clouds

using the hardware and software infrastructure in place, without modification.

Originated in the Computer Science Department at the University of California,
Santa Barbara as research project, the software is now maintained by Eucalyptus Systems.


The Ubuntu Enterprise Cloud is powered by Eucalyptus, an
open source implementation for the emerging standard of EC2, Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud.
