Open Source Initiative (OSI) is California public benefit corporation,

with 501(c)3 tax-exempt status, founded in 1998. OSI is

the stewards of Open Source Definition (OSD) and community

recognized body for Reviewing & Approving licenses as OSD-conformant.

The Free Software Foundation (FSF) is the charity

founded in 1985 and based in Boston, MA, USA.

The FSF has worldwide mission to promote computer

user freedom and to defend the rights of all free software users.

The Social Democratic Party of Slovenia wants the government to move the

public administration's IT systems to open source. Three members

of the Parliament, Luka Juri, Dejan Levanic and Matevz Frangez, say that

moving away from proprietary systems will help the government to save money.
